Visual Studio Code for the Web
vscode.devMicrosoft's VS Code editor in a tab, free, nothing to install

Why it's the pick
vscode.dev is Microsoft's VS Code editor running in the browser: open a folder from your computer (in Chrome or Edge) or a GitHub repo and edit with syntax highlighting, search and many extensions. It's free with no account needed, but it has no terminal or debugger and can't run your code, so it's for reading and light edits.
