Privacy POLICY
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
This policy explains what that1website.com collects and why. The site is run by that1site (Knightshyft Marketing), based in Texas, USA. Here, “we” means us and “you” means anyone who uses the site.
The short version
- You can use the whole directory without an account.
- This site doesn’t set cookies or use ad trackers.
- We store what you choose to send us, plus anonymous click counts. That’s it.
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t show targeted ads.
What we collect
What you send us
When you use one of our forms (the newsletter signup, Forgot a site?, Submit a site, the contact form or a My site request), we save what you type, the date and time, and the country the request came from, as a two-letter code supplied by our host. We don’t save your IP address with it.
Anonymous click counts
When you click through to a listed website, we record which listing it was, that website’s domain and the date. Nothing else is recorded (no IP address, cookie or ID), so a click can’t be tied to you. These counts power the Trending page.
Votes
When you vote for a site, we record which site and listing you voted for, the time, and a scrambled code made from your network address with a secret random key (a salted hash). We use it only to allow one vote per site from each network, and it can’t be turned back into your address. We don’t record your address itself, set a cookie or link votes to anything else.
Settings kept in your browser
Your light or dark setting, accent color, saved sites and which sites you voted for are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes them.
Payments
If you buy something, Stripe handles the payment. We receive what we need to run your order, such as your name, email address, billing country and what you bought. We never see or store your full card number.
Services that help run the site
We share information with these providers only so they can do their job for us, or when the law requires it.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and our database. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and block abuse. It also delivers our own email alerts when someone uses a form, so we can reply quickly. Cloudflare’s privacy policy
- Google Fonts supplies the site’s fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google, which receives your IP address. Google’s privacy policy

How we use it
- To answer your messages and requests.
- To review submitted sites and keep listings accurate.
- To send the newsletter, if you signed up for it.
- To take payments and manage paid plans.
- To count clicks for the Trending page.
- To keep the site working and protect it from abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and submissions while we need them to handle your request, and delete them when we no longer do, or sooner if you ask. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Anonymous click counts aren’t tied to anyone, so we may keep them indefinitely.
Your choices
Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link. To see, correct or delete information you’ve sent us, use the contact form. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
that1website isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Other websites
The directory links to websites we don’t run. Once you leave that1website.com, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
Text messages
If you opt in to texts from that1website, we use your mobile number only to send you those messages. We don’t sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Twilio delivers our texts. Reply STOP anytime to stop.
