Why it's the pick
BRouter-web plans routes on OpenStreetMap with profiles for touring, road and mountain bikes, hiking and more, shows distance and an elevation chart, and exports GPX for your bike computer or phone. It's free with no account, but the interface is built for enthusiasts; cycle.travel is simpler if you just want quiet roads.
